Unicolor Digital Sensors

The Universal LightProbe Unicolor Digital Sensor responds only to a specific color LED, and provides a 1-bit binary output.

The Universal LightProbe Unicolor Digital Sensor checks LED color by providing a logic "1" output for the LED color specified for the sensor, - either blue, green, yellow, orange, red or white - and logic "0" for any other color.  This reduces the ATE test to a one-bit input status test.  The Universal LightProbe Unicolor Digital sensor provides the simplest and fastest interface to Automatic Test Equipment (ATE).

The Universal LightProbe Unicolor Digital Sensors are insensitive to LED intensity.

As with all of our LightProbes, the Universal LightProbe Digital Sensors may utilize any of our wide variety of fiber-optic probes.

LED Color Response

 

The Universal LightProbe Unicolor Digital Sensors are general-purpose sensors for checking any of the five main LED colors (blue, green, yellow/amber, orange, red, and also white). Universal LightProbe Unicolor Digital Sensors check the LED color by providing a Logic "1" output only if the LED is the color specified for the Unicolor Digital Sensor, and Logic "O" if the LED is the wrong color. This eliminates the need to convert LED wavelength to visual color in the ATE software, which effectively improves the overall response time to test and LED.
